QA Laboratory Technical Officer

They are currently recruiting for two positions.
QA Lab Technical Officer:
Reporting to the Glass Technical Lab Manager for a wide range of responsibilities including
Carrying out measurements on glass containers to ascertain if they meet spec agreed with customer.
Investigating causes of poor performance, writing reports for customer services
Investigating causes of consumer complaints and preparing reports, carrying out fracture analysis and reports and cause of breakage.
Monitoring the quality of incoming raw materials and liasing with supplier.
Accompanying BSI auditor during assessment visits.
You will have a background in Chemistry or Glass technology and ideally will have a working knowledge of quality systems.

Materials Scientist.
Reporting to the Materials Science Manager, you will be part of a small highly focussed team, working on a number of different projects associated with the Glass container manufacturing process. This will range from strength improvements and product enhancement to environment impact.
In addition to a preferred Honours degree in Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science, the ideal candidate will have already demonstrated keen enthusiasm, an enquiring creative mind and lots of self-motivation.
