TYRE DYNAMICS ENGINEER

TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

Staff Position - Grade 3 (Salary dependant upon experience and qualifications)

A vacancy exists for a Tyre Dynamics Engineer in the Technology Department,
responsible to the Test Centre Manager.

Main duties:

You will be responsible for the instrumentation of vehicles, the acquisition,
measurement and analysis of data from various vehicle/tyre combinations.

There will be a need to understand tyre uniformity and to relate the laboratory
values to the effect upon the vehicle. This will involve working both on your
own and with customer representatives.

You will compile and present results both internally and to
our clients customers.

Skills / Abilities:
You will need to have experience of digital signal processing.
Well developed analytical and communication skills.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a sound, dependable and reliable
work record.
Able to work on own initiative.
A good team player.
Able to work away from Carlisle.
A degree in Mechanical Engineering and exposure to NVH and advanced driving
skills would be an advantage.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 0815 - 1700 hrs, Carlisle based.
